It's not often we get to experience a car accident, thank goodness! It's even less often we get the opportunity to visit the car while in the midst of repairs. Sure, we've had cars that have needed body work, but the cars have always been at body shops we were told to use by our insurance company. This last time around, WE told our insurance company who WE wanted to use. It means we know we're getting a job well done and the perks of visiting when we want to!
You have never seen fascination until you take 5 kids into an auto-body repair shop. Question after question of 'what happened to that car?', what's he doing to that car?' 'can we watch him paint in that paint room?' 'what happens if I touch that button?' 'why is there a mark on the car right there?'. Eric and his crew answered all their questions, let them touch and push the paint mixing button-from which they watched 100 cans of paint vibrate simultaneously-and let us take pictures too. It was better than a field trip to Dion's I think!
We were all quite interested to see our van taken apart and in process of having parts welded back on.
Check out all the bugs in the grille. There must have 300 bugs impaled on that thing! Surely a highlight?
Hopefully it will be all finished near the end of this week or beginning of next week, although the extra garage space has been quite nice! Thank you for all your hard work Eric and crew at Crown Coach Works. You might think about field trip hours........the kids thought it was great!
