Celebrating a birthday with a teenager......

Early last week, before the boys took off to scout camp, we helped Aaron celebrate his 15th birthday.  Sweet
Lovable...well as much as a 15 year old can be lovable.

Patient...very patient, he puts up with all 5 kids with a smile and an eye roll

Respectful-a young man of few words, yet he hangs out with us like he's been raised around 5 crazy kids every day of his life!  And he holds the older boys accountable to being nice to L, L and E.  How great is that?!

It's not often that a teenager willingly invites a family..with younger kids in tow.....to his own birthday celebration.  It sure feels like quite the honor in my opinion!  We sang out loud along with his parents and sister.

Although he certainly has the 'other' qualities that I dread we'll one day experience with our boys...he even admits he has them......I am so pleased that he has allowed us a place in his heart.  The kids have done the same.
