Boom Boom Pow! Happy 4th.....

Have you ever wished you could enjoy fireworks year round?  Do you enjoy the booms, pops and snaps as fireworks are lit?  Let me say that Conchas Lake is the place to be.  It really doesn't matter what date the calendar reads because any summer weekend at the lake is fair game for fireworks.  And I'm talking the shoot up in the air, explode in beautiful colors, can be seen from quite a distance, fireworks.  Yes, the slightly illegal fireworks are fair game at Conchas Lake.

So this July 4th, we enjoyed our own little show.  No matter which direction we stood and looked from our yard, we could see and hear fireworks going on.  The fizzles of a fountain, the snapping crackles of firecrackers, the deep base boom of the obviously illegal firework!! We enjoyed a few of our own boom boom pows too!

 However, by the time 1am came around, we were pretty much ready to be DONE listening to the noise of it all.  Please neighbors, it was fun for a while, but really?  We all have to be on the lake tomorrow morning, please CAN IT!!  We'll be up for it the next time we come!  Thankfully the kids, and the adults too, were tired enough to sleep through the way past curfew noise!!
