Now, in all fairness, it probably wasn't exactly the middle of nowhere. However, we were headed into hour #11 of travel for the day with another 3 to go. Anywhere would have seemed like the middle of nowhere.
So, besides the vehicle recognition, how else would you determine if you are a Storm Chaser junkie? By the collective 'ooooohhhhh' that reverberates throughout the van as the Dow 6 and partner vehicle park RIGHT next to you in the parking lot.
And then? When your children ALL are willing to give up devouring the food they have been whining about needing for the past hour in order to run out of the van so they can get a picture taken while standing next to the vehicles......despite the fact that the drivers of said vehicles are watching you with trained eyes as they walk in to get their own food. 'What a bunch of loonies weirdos nice Storm Chaser fans' is what they are surely thinking!
Need some more signs? How about that you have no qualms about completely circling the vehicles while snapping pictures as you go?
Or how about your son who pipes up that he thinks we need to get their autographs......who cares if they aren't the guys that get more than 20 seconds of air time? Who. Cares. They know the guys that get all the air time.....that's all that matters.
And last but certainly not least, how do you know that you are a Storm Chaser junkie? You have an ap on your iPhone that links you directly to Reed Timmer's website. You have the Blaze of Glory song by Bon Jovi on your ipod and play it LOUDLY, often. And you ask your kids if they want to go chase tornadoes. You're actually kidding, but some of your children say yes. Actually, your husband asks because just the thought of chasing tornadoes makes you want to pee your pants. Or throw up. Or something else. And he's the one with the ap.

What a cool thing! I bet your kids were excited. Way fun.
And might I add how much I love the fact you snapped these pictures? I'm all about humiliating myself in the name of posterity.
