Over Christmas break, the boys' were thrilled to invite some friends over to spend the night. They had never had a sleepover at our house before-hard to believe, but true! We wanted to fulfill an I.O.U sleepover before the new year and so we did! Heck, what's two more added in to the craziness?
So John and Ben arrived and the party started.....my boys were just so excited to have someone other than their siblings to share their stuff with. John, Jacob and Gregory tore into the Lego's after about 30 seconds of being in the near vicinity of them. Eric and Ben dug into the train set. Soon enough they all co mingled and built a huge train track. Luke was THRILLED with that!
On to the next task at hand.....what the heck do I feed 7 kids without having to hear about it later? Breakfast for dinner of course! No complaints (not like they would have anyway, they are good boys) and they ate quickly too.
Let the fort building begin! Lucky for me the fort building master was available to volunteer his services that night because had it been ME building the fort...well....the lights probably wouldn't have even been turned off before it came crashing down! Thanks to Fort Building Master and his young apprentices, Eric and Ben had a cozy, dark place to sleep.....complete with clock!
They look like they're up to a bunch of mischief, don't they?!! After a decent nights sleep-they all went to sleep by 10ish I think, they were up and ready to head outside for the morning and finish off the get together with some roller blading and big wheel riding.
I do believe we'll have to do this again!! Thanks for coming over boys!
