Thankfully the wedding was in the late afternoon which gave us plenty of time to get ready in unhurried style. The kids were able to get some inside jungle gym time-compliments of Uncle Adam!

It took over 30 minutes to curl Laurel's hair alone! L and L were very excited for their duties that day and I was busy keeping my fingers crossed that Luke would actually make it down the aisle!! We got them in the car and headed out for a 30 minute drive......guess who fell asleep about 10 minutes into the drive?!
The short nap worked out well...I never know what child will awake from a short nap-a happy, refreshed one, or one that desperately needs to go back to sleep. Happy, they woke up happy!

Luke made it down the aisle, but not after a little bribery from his favorite bridesmaid, Christina. Evidently while he was in the back waiting to go down the aisle he decided he did NOT want to wear his boutonniere and was determined to take it off. Christina....wise girl that she is even with no children of her own yet...offered him a piece of gum. That's like offering me a piece of cheesecake topped with Cracker Barrel biscuits...heck ya! After he had been in the pew about 5 minutes he took the flowers off...oh well!

After the ceremony it was directly to the reception at a beautiful country club and golf course. So many great places for pictures!! Ours were happy to rake the sand and run around like crazy.
And the rest of the night? Well, let's just say the kids burned up the dance floor. Oh my word they had so much energy and they had so much fun dancing with bridesmaids and uncles and the bride and us......it was fun, very fun!

We sent John and April off by sparkler light. Made for a really pretty sight-and I'm sure they appreciated it more than the birdseed that we flung at them as they left the church!
They ended the evening by 8:30 and we drove off to our condo, ready to start our Disney adventures the next day!
