Day 2 Pre-wedding fun

A long day of travel was followed by the first of our many long Florida days. April's bridemaid's luncheon took place at her soon-to-be in-laws house. I took Laurel and Luke with me so Bill and remaining boys could go rent the car and then CRAM...and I mean CRAM.... our bags in it and move, more like schlep, it all to the condo. The whole backseat was folded down to accomodate it all. The poor Embassy Suites driver the night we got in had to do some creative packing! In case you ever need to know, 12 bags, 3 kids and 1 driver will all fit in a Toyota Sienna-barely.
The bridesmaid's luncheon was so nice and sophisticated. I'll just put the pictures in....they'll do the job. It was Martha Stewart meet April and Barbara!! They even set a table for Laurel and Luke....super cute! The soup was served in carved out mini pumpkins-just amazing! And the soup was good too!
April's chair was elegantly decorated with her mother-in-law's bridal veil. I got a 'let's try to be creative' bug and took a few different angles.......
I was so proud of Luke and Laurel-they hung in there the whole day and were so good. April picked us up at the hotel at 11am and we were without Daddy and brothers until 7pm that evening after the wedding rehearsal. They played well and even helped decorate the house and tables for the rehearsal dinner. They definitely worked their charm and made many friends by night's end. That's one thing they are-social!

Luke was thrilled with Auntie April's gift-a cool car. And Laurel had fun playing with her 'princess wand' and tiara. Way to go Auntie April!
It was a very enjoyable day, filled with good food and new people to get to know, as well as family we hadn't seen in a while. We all left for the condo by 8:30 to get a good night's rest for the wedding!!

They are so precious! What good muffins hanging in there that whole time.

Yeah, that looks fancy. How elegant with the whole pumpkin thing. Can't wait for more!
