After having to cancel once because of weather, Luke and Laurel had their soccer team pictures taken last night. Always entertaining to wrangle a bunch of 4 and 5 year olds for a picture!! And making it even more entertaining was the wind.......holy cow was it ever windy last night!
I left Laurel's hair down for the pictures, but it presented a bit of a visibility issue-

The photographer called Laurel over for her individual picture and after taking one he turned and asked me 'Do you want to tuck her hair behind her ear?' Ummmm.....'buddy, do you see how windy it is? It's not going to do a darn bit of good for me to tuck her hair behind her ear'....that's what I wanted to say, but instead I politely answered 'no'.

Luke's hair was well behaved-

Although our team is a team of 6, we often practice with another team and we are combined. We don't know the parents, we don't know the kids, nor do our kids know the other kids. So why they combined them for team pictures is beyond me. Oh well-we're just in it for the free picture anyway-sad to say, but really, have you seen how expensive team pictures are?! DO I really need a pennant sized photo of them at this age? And of course the thought is ever present in our minds that what we do for one, we statistically have to do for another of the same age (twins in simpler terms).

We are taking our own team photos of G, J and E's teams....save in the $$ department! We did the same thing last year and my friend Robin used a neat program and gave the photo a cool border and put the team name on each picture. WAY cheaper and looked pretty darn good! Hopefully we'll have the same success this year. Oh, and just for grins-want to guess L and L's team name? You'll never guess it....seriously.....the Yokohama Marinos. Now there's an easy name for the kids to put in a cheer........
