Play time

This is how I wish more of our days could end. More free time, happy faces, fun family involved play time. It doesn't happen as often as I wish it did.....there is usually a multitude of 'stuff' each of us is trying to get done. But tonight we got some of it done together and then had time to play!
First we had a nice dinner at my mom and dad's....GG came...and I actually enjoyed what my mom made despite the word 'stew' being in the title. Green Chili stew....SO much better than nasty ol' carrots and potato and gross stew meat kind of stew-GAG-O-RAMA. Of course she hasn't tried to feed me that since the days when I had no other choice and it was eat it or go to bed hungry!

After dinner we cleaned up all the toys that have taken up residence in the sand box and surrounding area, let the chickens out, chased them around and then ended the night with a game of 'catch the bouncy ball' It was a bit challenging since it was after sunset and the ball was small. Of yeah, and daddy had a big advantage...longer arms and more height! Thankfully the weather was nice and cool since there was an approaching storm.

They all did well...however, Laurel had to remind us that she was pouty patty when she couldn't figure out how to catch the ball and brothers weren't kind enough to place it in her hand-over and over! There's a country song by Joe Nichols that reminds me of this...it's titled 'The Many Sides of you' (I think that's the title of it) and boy, does Laurel have many sides.

She brings new meaning to 'multi-faceted! One minute she's pouty, the next...this-

And so, tomorrow brings another week.....more school, more work...oh, and I really need to cut off my fingernails....I've made about 100 mistakes typing this. If the nails click on the keyboard then my limited typing skills go from bad to worse!! That really was a useless bit of info...sorry..
