Me and She...skilled lunch ladies

Feeding kids at a school cafeteria is work...hard, under appreciated, stressful, time-frame based, work. My friend Heather and I know a little bit about that. As, the other night, our husbands jokingly told us we could be cafeteria ladies....we looked around at our task at hand and had a hard time denying that they had a point.

You see, we were trying to dish up spaghetti, meat sauce, watermelon, some crazy tasting cucumbers, bread and drinks to a table of 11 children and 4 adults. Mmm-hmm, yup, we fill up large tables in the blink of an eye. And utilize all moveable and available chairs within reach too. She has an 8 year girl, 4 year old twin girls, 2 year old twin boys, and one on the way (a boy).

Had to include this one of Maddie....I just missed capturing the noodle she was sucking into her mouth!

It's a miracle we can even communicate amongst ourselves when we get together, but as a parent to multiples and multiple children, we have learned to fine tune our listening capabilities. It's quite amazng to see how much noise we can tolerate while having a meaningful conversation about cars, work and school. We are so blessed to know this wonderful BIG family that we have so much in common with. However, there will be one BIG difference......I'm not gonna have another baby. Our 6th child will be our part time Catalena!
