Growing Green

Forget going green....we're growing green around here. No sooner does something get chopped down in an attempt to get rid of it, that it (or something else) starts growing again...with a vengeance! For the past couple years we have tried reducing the elm tree population on our property....but those things grow back fast and big and leafy and full of seed pods in the spring that end up growing in our rocks......
So Bill broke out the chainsaw this weekend and went environtmental...actually only mental....and took out a bunch of the mutant elms-and piled them into our vintage Mazda pickup that we can no longer identify as such!
King of the 'one tree hill'? More like 'many tree hill'! What a load!

What do you think about these striped babies? They remind me of go-go boots...yes.....no?The kids ended the night with a pseudo lake in the sandbox. I give you 'Bone Lake'....complete with tunnel and 2 boat ramps. One should be so lucky! When they work together, amazing things get built or adventures await just around the corner. And now? On to school schedules and homework and soccer and CCD and ballet (maybe) and preschool and BSF, and teaching 3 days a week and madness-pure, plain and simple, irrefutable, ready or not here we come-madness. Care to join?
