Where fort art thou?

Yesterday was a rainy, rainy day.......a favorite of mine. Since the weather was yucky and chilly we skipped swim lessons and instead I let them build a fort in the living room. With 5 differing opinions it definitely was not a peaceful process. But they got it built in the end and it managed to last more than 20 minutes!
I think they should make extra large sheets just for fort building. Even the king sheets weren't big enough to cover the gap very well and if we moved the couches closer together they wouldn't have all fit. One of those logistical things, ya know.......
G and J built there own version......by the end of the afternoon they had completed it with pillows, blankets, walls and the dog bed...for Parker of course! I didn't get any pictures though.Even Nana stopped in to scope it out. I guess I kind of got a picture with the extra stuff....

Today we attempted to make paper towel castles and dog houses..but cooperation was not a part of the game, so the paper towel rolls were put away. Maybe later!

We always use the kitchen chairs instead of the couches. That way you can easily move them where they need to be! (Even allow extra forts!) Nana is so cute in there w/ the kiddos. She's such a good grandma.
