The swimming lessons have started. Not that it's actually warm enough for it yet! It has been a really strange June weather wise. Usually it is about 90 degrees and the clouds haven't arrived either. However, last week, the first week of lessons (of course) it was overcast, chilly and breezy several of the mornings. And swim lessons start at 9:15 am. Given all that, do you think E, L and L cared about that?
Mmmmm.....no.
Of course it did take a minute to adjust to the water temperature.....

This was the first day of lessons and probably the best weather wise

Luke and Laurel are in level 1 and Eric is in level 3. Last year Eric could barely touch in the area of the pool where level 3 lessons are. This year he can touch and also actually coordinate a swim stroke.

I can actually tell when he's trying freestyle! He's insistent about wearing goggles...

I think the hardest part for Luke this year compared to last year, is that he's comfortable in the water this year and that leads him to wander a bit farther away from the teacher than he should. Thankfully he's not the worst listener in the class, but still, it's enough to make me shake my head when I watch. Oh well, this too shall pass! At least he's happily being a bit disobedient...
Aah, the
back float. The most uncomfortable position to be in a pool......
Lay flat Luke, lay flat!
Now KICK!!!!!

Tomorrow starts week 2 of lessons and Laurel's first day of ballet. She is so excited!

Good action shots, my friend! I love pool pictures.
You're right--the weather has been wacky.
And what? Are you trying to keep your boys from getting skin cancer later in life or what? That looks like a whole lotta clothes! ;)
