A celebration of children

Every Spring, our boys' school hosts a 'Celebration of Children'. The kids participate in grade level performances, classes display loads of artwork from the year and of course there is food to complete the night.
Eric's class along with the other 1st grade classes sang a song 'The Greatest'....they all did a great job!

This year, the 4th grade classes were able to participate in a really neat dance program. It is paid for outside the school budget and this year the PTA and Art Council helped fund it. For 15 weeks, the kids learned all kinds of neat things...not just dance, but basics they can apply to everyday life situations. They really enjoyed themselves and all their hard work culminated in a performance at the celebration....Getting ready with some friends....

Nearing the end with 'crispy fingers'......showing their energy!

All 3 were very proud of their accomplishments and art work. I am so thankful that their school values music, performing arts and family events as much as the academics. We are hopeful that we can bring NDI, the National dance Institute, back to the school next year!!
