Lookin' for a pumpkin..and a way out

Literally, within walking distance from our house, there is a corn maze and pumpkin patch. Do you think we've actually gone there all 7 of us? No. Sometimes the cost of things does enter into play. They may twist our arms though, we'll see. Eric got lucky-his class took a field trip there. I went with his class last year and Bill went with his class this year. It's amazing-the corn maze actually has a specific design cut into it-this year it was balloons, the words 'chick-fil-a' (no doubt a sponsor) and something else, I can't remember. They use some sort of satellite program to plot it and then cut it....sounds high tech and complicated to me. If you explore all the path possibilities it ends up being nearly 2 miles of walking.
This is Eric, Megan (who he adores, she's the smallest girl in the class and Eric just may be the smallest boy in the class) and another little girl who get separated from her class, so she hung out with Eric's group.

Ever had corn stuck in your underwear? Eric has........

At the end of the maze they got to pick out a pumpkin. Last year I carried Eric's since he had a broken arm at the time. Not this year though!

And this is the whole class.....pumpkins and all!

We've heard rumors that they aren't going to do the maze anymore, but I sure hope that isn't true. So many school groups come and enjoy it and it's a neat tradition at this time of year.

You know, one of your friends has a pumpkin stand. We also have corn to play in, a hay maze for the little ones, and horses to ride on the weekends. Best of all--it's free!
