At last,they did it!!

Yup, the soccer season has officially started, with Eric and G and J's teams having their first games. Eric's team lost by more than a handful but G and J's team actually WON!! Now, we're not big on the 'have to win' mentality, more like the 'win one game a season, please' mentality. And so they did, their first game, 2-0. And we're not a team of gloaters either....we know what it means to be stomped, crushed, spanked, blown out of the water, and all the other words that describe being beaten big time! We're usually on the recieving end of losses, but our boys have been together as a team for 4 years and we all get along great and winning is never the 'goal' (ha-ha) but it is a nice way to end a 50 minute game. We'll see what next weeks' game holds.

I didn't get to go to Eric's game, so I don't have any pictures from today, but this is from a practice session they had with Bill a week or so a go..learning to use their head, chest, and legs to trap the ball. A big back yard comes in kinda handy for that kind of thing!

Our friend Max (from the previous post) had an MRI yesterday and found out that the cyst is indeed benign...YAY! Still have to wait and see if surgery is necessary for that problem, but they are thinking not. Then it will be on to fix the heart problem.
