Match made in heaven

Dogs, dirt and kids....who could possibly not be happy? Well, besides me potentially.......the morning was so nice yesterday. The sky was overcast and the sandbox had just the right texture sand after a rainstorm the night before. The kids were making islands and doing whatever it is they do out there when Parker decided he needed to be in the middle of it all.
He, too, got buried in sand and I'm pretty sure loved every minute of it. Thankfully it all came off of him before he came back inside! Laurel thought the goal was to COVER Prker, not just to let him lay nicely next to her while she played. Who can resist such a cute face?

Later in the afternoon the kids met their teachers. After thinking about it and talking about it, we decided to put the boys in the same class, provided that there was a teacher that could provide what we felt they each needed on an individual basis. And so they are together. Turns out their teacher has identical twin boys herself! We hope it works out to be a great year.
And Eric got a sweet new teacher this year. Must be something about him and sweet young teachers! His teacher from last year was so nice and had a fresh out look on teaching since it was only her second year. Eric's heart still belongs to Mrs. Robinson, so look out Mrs. London, you've got your job cut out for you!

The kids are enjoying one last swim at our local pool this afternoon with Bill. We took them to see Prince Caspian last night...had to fulfill that promise before the summer was over! Whew, just made it. I think we'll watch some Olympics tonight..how about you?
