How to turn 87 in our family

Turning 87.  WOW!!  My grandma turned 87 in April!  It's pretty hard to adequately celebrate that kind of a birthday, especially for someone who is just so amazing and who asks for nothing in return for her amazingness......but our family tries its best!

Step 1:  Let your family take you out for a lovely tea at St.James Tea Room for a birthday/almost Mother's Day treat
Step 2:  Try not to drool as a beautiful tray of yummy yummies arrives.  Try the teas...make faces at the ones that just aren't your 'cup of tea' and then dare yourself to eat that lovely chocolate tart.  If you don't, your daughter sitting next to you will!
Step 3:  In case you're still thirsty, share some bubbly....the non-alcoholic kind (you never know how silly an 87 year old might get with the real stuff!) and make some toasts.  Your family will wish for many more happy, healthy birthdays for you because they absolutely LOVE you!  And while you are drinking, take a moment to learn something new.....you're never to old to learn, right?  I think we ALL learned a few things about etiquette after we read those pages!
Step 4:  Gracefully 'float' on out the door and stop for a group photo
Step 5: When you turn 87 and family visits from out of town, the party keeps going......moving on to Fuddrucker's!!  Thankfully a day after the tea room and on the day of your grandson's birthday...Friday the 13th!
Have a good laugh at your piggy snorting birthday card and enjoy your new snazzy tops
Step 6:  Get ready to blow out some candles on your cake......but the photos have to wait for the next post, 'How to turn 39 in our family'.
