Our time in Williamsburg was coming to an end, but we still had so much to do!! We originally thought we could knock out Busch Gardens in 2 days......well, thanks to those 5 ride lovin' kids, we needed just a bit more time there. And in all honesty, we actually wanted to go back to watch a couple of the shows one more time. There are some really talented singers and musicians that work at Busch Gardens.....it's too bad more of the general public doesn't appreciate it more! We stopped on the way for the kids to 'smash some grapes'
One of our favorite shows was Celtic Fire. The stage was set to look like a pub in Ireland and the cast was SO very impressive. There was lots of singing -
and totally entertaining Irish step dancing.
We sat down very close to experience it this second time......I could watch that show over and over. Even the kids, ALL 5, were impressed by the show and were eager to watch it again. If it's one thing I love to see, it's my kids watching in awe of others performing!
And Bill and I, well we were pretty thrilled with ourselves when we were able to sing along to one of their pub songs......when we went to Ireland in 2000, we bought a CD of Irish pub type music...jolly, happy stuff....and what do you know? They sang one of those songs during the show!! 'Oh it's No, Nay, Never, clap clap clap clap.....'
Another show we enjoyed was a marching band type show. Again, the kids loved it and so did we. Very cool!
This picture, well, with as much persistence that went in to getting the picture, we ought to blow it up and frame it. Laurel has a small...no, make that large, obsession with wolves. She begged us to get this picture. And she usually reminded us when we were other places......like Colonial Williamsburg, or in the car, or in a completely different area of Busch Gardens, or when it was raining.......'are you going to take a picture of that wolf for me?' 'don't forget to take a picture of that wolf for me', 'WHEN are you going to take a picture of that wolf?' Yes, we did get the picture, isn't it a beauty? Totally high quality, I know. But to her, she doesn't care, the wolf is in the picture, so it counts!
After calling it a day at the park, we headed to the pool for some family fun and some Domino's pizza to go along with. Eric found himself a family to play with-not ours, no surprise there-and while he batted a beach ball around with them, the cousins had fun
Nolan went for payback for Laurel's dunking of Uncle Mark at the water park. He's a little wild rascal!
Laurel thought it was great fun! Now had it been one of her brother's doing that? Oh, she'd be cryin' up a storm!
One more day left in WIlliamsburg...more living history in the plans. Yes, kids, we heard that groan. If you want your souvenirs, you gotta suck it up!
