Saturday dawned bright and early for our birthday boy and girl. And in regular Barry tradition, they woke to find their rooms, well, not as they had been when they went to bed. We call it birthday decorations, but it sometimes looks kinda messy! Streamers and handmade butterflies adorned their bed frames. Thankfully we have some pretty sound sleepers and they slept right through the crinkle crinkle crinkle.....
We hung more butterflies from the kitchen and living room fans and the dining room light......it looked like Spring around here! But pictures didn't turn out so great of the scenery.......
Their birthday morning started with presents and Krispy Kreme donuts. Laurel chose a donut with chocolate icing and sprinkles, Luke chose a maple flavored one.
Then it was off to where else? SOCCER!! These two can be so darn cute!!
The day was terribly windy, dusty, gritty and gray-
After soccer I hurried them into the tub so we could take them out for their birthday dinner of choice...Sweet Tomatoes. Probably for the dessert more than anything else-See what I mean?
But he didn't make it very far.......
We sang Happy Birthday to them and our waitress overheard us, so she brought over bags of chocolate chip cookies for them....so nice! Overall, it was a very nice day to celebrate 6 years of life and breath and smiles and triumphs and will power and hugs and love, given and shared.
After they collapsed into bed it was time to start getting ready for their birthday party.....

Happy Bday, L and L! What sweet kiddos. It seems like last week you were telling me the results of the ultrasound. How are they six already?!
