Oh say, can they see?

After recently taking ALL the kids to get their eyes checked (do you know how long it takes to get that many appointments done and over with and over how many different days?), it was discovered that both Luke and Eric needed glasses!  Neither of them have ever complained about their eyes and this was just a routine check.  Turns out they are both farsighted.  This has always confused me, how eyesight is termed.  So, farsighted means they can't see as well close up.......look out reading glasses, here we come!

Their prescriptions are slight enough, Eric's more so than Luke, that they only need to wear them when reading or doing up close work.....haven't yet decided if that's a good thing....it really just means that the glasses go on and off multiple times a day.  And according to Luke, that makes them dirty and in need of a cleaning.  Every 10 minutes. I suppose that increases the breakage possibility too.  Glasses are expensive I tell ya, even WITH insurance!

Both boys were very eager to get their glasses and were all smiles upon trying them on.

I pray the boys keep track of the glasses more easily than boys keep track of retainers around here!
