1) We are certifiably crazy for rearranging 3 children's bedrooms while they are OUT OF SCHOOL. How much easier would it have been to mess with it after they went back to school? Aaahh, but where's the fun in that?
2) Our hallways look like the aisles of Home Base....remember that place? Home Depot came along and stole their thunder. The aisles in that place were trip hazards galore. And I'm sure there were some safety violations too. Kinda like all our hallways the past 2 days. Good grief.........
3) The boys are well on their way to earning their first Boy Scout merit badge. They put together their own dressers.....and actually followed the convoluted directions provided by IKEA (actually, their directions aren't so bad). Proof:
(weird light, I know.....the dressers really aren't yellow...and the boys really aren't green!)
4) We have said good-bye to Christopher Robin Green and Baby Bee Yellow paint. The walls we lovingly painted in anticipation of their arrival 5 years ago have now been painted over-
5) Laurel's room is PINK. Oh yes. We are now saying hello to Pixie Dust and Fairy Princess Pink paint. And boy, is it saying hello back! Yikes! Let's just say I am very glad we bought her white furniture to try and tone it down a bit! Hopefully within 2 days it'll be completely finished....depends on how much I get to paint while still having to do my other job. Refereeing.
Another weird light photo. ......
6) There is no denying that 5 plus years ago, when we designed our house, we planned on the day that Laurel would have a room all to herself. We knew she'd like her own bathroom, therefore no competition with her brothers for mirror time. We knew thatday would be years down the road-and yet, here it is. Luke is moving in with Eric and soon Laurel will have her room, all to herself. How the heck did that happen?
There is no denying that when all the 'stuff' is back in its proper place, the kids rooms will look fantastic. And I'll be so glad it's all done!!!

I can't wait to see to the new bedroom set-up and colors. And of course…ALL OF YOU, TOO! Yippee! Only 6 more days.
Are Luke and Eric happy to be together? How does Laurel feel being all by herself?
It seems like you were just pregnant with them. . .
