He is affectionately known as Lukeeboo. After our spill on the alpine slides...and it was the thing we sat on that flipped, not the actual slide........we now can call him Lukeebooboo.
Poor guy really got a big boo-boo on his calf after the cart flipped and we slid down the alpine slide on our sides for what seemed like over a minute but was more like 10 seconds. We came over a hill on the slide and as we went into a turn either he, or I or both of us leaned a little too much, causing us to flip out of our cart! The scariest feeling was trying to figure out how to stop ourselves from sliding so fast and then I was worried about someone else plowing into us as they came down the slide. Thankfully it wasn't busy yet and Bill, who was on the slide next to us was able to stop himself and come help us.
My wrist and the camera lens suffered slide burn, but poor Luke!
He was very brave and let the EMT guy wash it and dress it. And then he hopped off the chair and was ready to go again. Sad to say he didn't trust my cart steering abilities until the very end of the day!!
After 2 dressing changes, it still looks, well, gross.....but better, believe it or not. Hardest part is not getting it wet because that stings really bad, even on my small wrist burn. So he'll be slappin' on big waterproof bandages at bath time for a bit!
Hopefully that will be the only injury sustained for the next 6 days........
