Dear Mom

Dear Mom,
So, we wanted to ask you something. Why do you have to carry that big ol' camera around with you EVERYWHERE? Really, you have captured so many weird moments that you sometimes leave us scratching our heads. How many pictures do you really need of us standing, sitting, leaning, dancing, and running as a group, smiling at you? And if you keep it up, Catalena might just forget how to smile with her teeth since she hides them every time you take one. See? This is from the other night at the middle school open house.
One of us looks like a dork mom! Well, maybe we all do. Did you know that over the course of a year you took well over 3,000 pictures? Actually, it was probably more than that because you do delete quite a few as you go. By taking all these pictures, we guess you want to make sure we all remember the crazy, boring, embarrassing, funny, silly, stupid, endearing, heart warming, heart bursting with pride moments? You do realize that if you get all these pictures printed....eventually....you're going to need to build on another room to the house?
Yes, of course we'll be there to lend a hand. Can we bring OUR cameras? We can see that you're going to keep on doing what you do best. Click, click, click. Thanks for the documenting you do as relentlessly as a National Geographic photographer. While we say it with words now, we're sure to really mean it later. Years from now......
