Looks like we made it!

Wow, it has been one heck of a week. Lots to do, lots to celebrate, lots to get ready for next week! Seems like every time I wanted to sit down and put a post together there were way too many other things to do first....and this is my pre-Mother's Day 'do what I want to do' moment.....or 25+ moments depending on how many moments it takes to write this post!
The boys had a fantastic birthday party last night. I was a bit worried how we would manage nearly 20 kids, but they all got along so well and had so much fun! There ended up being fifteen 10 year olds, four 7 year olds and of course Luke and Laurel. Here they are DRY.....gotta love that little peanut in the far left corner.....the only girl, bless her heart....she hung in there!
And this followed moments later after some ground rules had been established. I was very impressed, they all listened and followed the rules! The rules included no shooting water at: doors, windows, live animals, parents, in the face and no tromping through the house wet!

Bill set up some 'shelter' for the kids to play in and around and also parked our old Mazda pick up truck in the backyard. They had a good time using all available obstacles!

They played for about an hour and then hunger took over. Must eat food........we ordered 10 pizzas and were left with only 3 in the end!

After pizza there was some more water play and then cake. So fun to hear all those boys singing! They sang it with the 'Cha-Cha-Cha' after each section...G and J thought it was pretty funny too!

Even though we have few neighbors, I am almost certain they heard the birthday chorus!

Proof that Bill and I were actually at the party...thanks MOM! And THEN after the cake, we all went in (after they were all DRY) and watched the movie Rocketman on the living room wall. And who can watch a movie without popcorn? Chocolate covered pretzels? Both? Yummy....I think all the boys agreed!

And by 9:15 they were all gone. By 9:30 the kids were all in bed. 21 kids, 4 hours, 4 adults supervising (thanks mom and dad!), 7 pizzas, one cake, 21 bags of popcorn and chocolate covered pretzels, no unnecessary drama, good spirits, LOTS of laughter, tons of fun....I think we'll have to do this again next year! Happy 10th birthday sweet boys!
