Flashback Friday: Their first year

Barely made it.....

Here it is, the middle of our Spring soccer season...and it's supposed to be very windy and cold tomorrow. I can't say it enough....Spring soccer stinks. However, I did recently run across a few photos of some super cute little boys playing in their very first year of soccer......just so darn little and back then it was OK for them to stop and daydream while on the field. Not so much anymore!

This was the first 'Puzzler' team and Bill then took over coaching the next season with a bunch of new players...who are now known as the 'Phanatics'......better suited name for 10 year olds. Here are the boys trying out their moves......G in front of J

Shoe/shin guard inspection....And the victory tunnel....although that didn't really mean they won....they just loved running through a bunch of wild, happily screaming parents (we're still wild and happily screaming, even 5 years later)! What they don't know is half the time we are so excited because the game is OVER and our rear ends that are frozen in the shape of our chairs can go and thaw out in the car...darn right we're excited the game is over!!
