Caught a little rascal

Living in the rural area that we do, we are no stranger to animals one doesn't typically see living in the city....skunks, coyotes, snakes, Guinea fowl, Canadian geese, Sandhill cranes, cows, horses, donkeys, ducks.....and these little varmints!!!

While trying to catch some feral cats that roam around us and seem to think under our pine trees is a GREAT place to do their business, we set out some traps (humane ones) and this raccoon wandered into the trap to try and sneak the food we put in it. Gotcha!

Luke and Laurel were thrilled to see one up close. Not too close honey For as pesky as they are, this little guy..or gal..sure was cute!! Animal control was closed on Monday so we put the trap under the tree with him in it so we could call the next day, but wouldn't you know it...that rascally raccoon got himself OUT of the cage. Thankfully I took these pictures or else G, J and E might not have believed us!

Ya know, we had one of these as a pet growing up! Her name was Rascal! She was actually pretty smart...my brother was able to potty train her!!!!

Hope you are having a great week. You guys continue to be in our prayers.

That is beautiful! I love the last pic of Laurel fondly staring at her.

Got itself out? That is a rascal.
