Pike's Market.Alki Beach

Hello again! Luke made it to 6:45-whooo-hoo!! After stuffing ourselves with breakfast (belgian waffles are NOT having a positive effect on our waistlines), we headed off to meet Cori. She is just as sweet and looks the same as she did in high school! We went to the Pike's Market place-filled with amazing, nifty, crafty, artsy little vendors, along with the occasional fish throwing vendors too!

Eric thought is all smelled a little 'fishy'...ha ha, but Laurel said the same thing, only she had her whole arm slung across her face

There were a number of vendors selling beautiful fresh flowers, made up into amazing bouquets, and the prices were only $10-$15!! If only we could get such wonderful and affordable flowers in ABQ......

After the fun morning excursion and lunch at an italian/mexican restaurant (intersting combo, isn't it?), it was off to a favorite spot of Cori and her girls, Alki Beach.

Now, as you see the following pictures, please remember that the water here isn't swimming water, oh no, it's freeze your toes off water....but do you think that stopped the kids for a second?...mmmm, no!

In this next picture, Laurel was DETERMINED to get her feet clean, so she beckoned (rather loudly) 'brovers, I need more water'...so they complied and brought her a bucket of fresh water where she oh so gently stepped in, got her feet clean, and then stepped right back into the sand and had to do it all over again!!!

Now here's something you don't see everyday (or sometimes maybe even in a whole week) in Seattle...the SUN!

It came out briefly and then hid again just as quickly...........this next one is of E, L, L and Cori's oldest little girl, Molly. Bill dug holes for all their feet and then covered them up with sand. It was great, they couldn't get out!

Gotta love these too cute sand monster feet...we had 5 pair, plus Cori's girls..that made 7 pairs!!

I didn't get a picture of her, but Cori's other little girl, Abby, played like a little angel in the sand..such a good girl!!

And last but not least, this is our dear friend Cori....thanks for such a fun day Cori! We so much enjoyed catching up with you and seeing the places you love!!!

Tomorrow is the Boeing plant and a museum too....our last day in Seattle!!! Good night......
