Do dogs know when they are in the presence of one of their litter mates? Well, I'm pretty sure the answer to that is an emphatic NO!
On our way home from the lake last weekend, we stopped by the breeder whom we purchased Parker from. And so he met his sister! Could have cared less, thank you very much! Nope, he was just happy to be out of the van, free to roam around and sniff other dogs hineys......
On the other hand, the kids were thrilled to be in the presence of Parker's sister.....loved it and wanted to take her home. After being told 'no way jose', they chose to love on her and visit the breeder's other dogs.
Parker also got to meet his uncle and I do believe, perhaps, a cousin....however it is that worked out! What a family reunion! He almost got to meet his mom, but she left the day before to stay with a friend of the breeder. In a year or so we'll consider welcoming another companion for sweet Parker. Until then, family reunions will have to do! Luckily the breeder is happy to board dogs too, so he'll get to visit his sister again very soon!
The kids loving on Gabby
