Cruel and unusual punishment....

First, the picture from yesterday as promised.....
Beaches and outlet malls...they all sound good before you actually get there.....and then, well, you get there!! The outlet shopping is a necessity when it comes to clothing our family, however, long about store #2, 5 kids become restless kids!! And what comes with restless kids? A restless mom :-) We went to an outlet center in Lincoln City this afternoon, along with our friends. It was an absolutte 'have to go' since it has our favorite store there...the Children's Place outlet. The kids hung in pretty well, our saving grace was grass to run around in and Jimmy Neutron playing on the car DVD player....God bless the inventor of portable DVD players. How in the world did parents used to entertain their kids when they traveled? Hmm, I keep thinking that once we get through traveling with nappers, the whole car interaction thing will be easier. I'll keep thinking positively on that one! Well, after spending the afternoon and our money at the outlets, this is what we got on the way to dinner:

And the other entertainment of the day...the beach. The tide was out pretty far this morning, so we went down after breakfast and found lots of tide pools filled with hermit crabs, anemone (sp), and starfish. Red fish, orange fish, purple fish......and then after dinner, we went back to the beach to fly kites, play soccer and find more 'things'.

The most mischevious of them all...G and J!! Seaweed, clams, sticks, rocks....they found it all.

G got himself stuck when the tide came in...thankfully it went back out.....Good night......
